Valencian Orange Ice Cream

How to make Valencian Orange Ice Cream.

Valencian oranges are known as the best oranges in the world. And if you have ever visited the region, you would have seen the vast acres dedicated to them. You can travel through Valencia and all you will see orange trees for miles. Here is a delicious ice cream recipe prepared with these oranges.

1/2 a cup of Fresh Valencian Orange Juice.
Half a cup of Water.
1 cup of Sugar.
4 Tablespoons of Cornflour.
600ml of Double Cream.
200g/ of Condensed Milk.
Waffers, orange slices, mint leaves and almond flakes for decorating.

In a saucepan set over medium heat, cook orange juice, water, sugar and cornflour.
Heat until the mixture starts to thicken up and gains the consistency of a filling.
Remove from the heat and set aside to cool.
Put condensed milk and cream in a large bowl.
Beat until the mixture is thick and stiff.
Carefully fold in the orange filling.
Pour the mixture in a large freeze safe container.
Cover with plastic wrap and let it set in the freezer for 8 hours.
Remove from the freezer 10 minutes before serving.
Serve with cream, waffers and sprinkle with almond flakes.
