Prawns in Oyster Sauce

How to make Prawns in Oyster Sauce.

Ingredients: Serves 1-2

  • 12 large prawns
  • 3 tbsp oyster sauce
  • extra virgin olive oil, to sauté the shrimp
  • chopped chives, to decorate
  • 2 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 garlic clove

  1. Prepare the prawns by separating their heads and peeling the tails.
  2. Make a small longitudinal cut and remove the intestine.
  3. Saute the tails until they are a deep golden colour and crush the heads as this will add a wonderful flavour to our sauce.
  4. Chop the garlic and brown it in the same pan.
  5. Add the 3 tablespoons of the oyster sauce and the coral of the heads, stirring until it is integrated.
  6. Then we add 2 tablespoons of soy sauce and half a glass of water, mixing everything very well.
  7. Let it reduce over maximum heat for about three minutes and return the prawn tails to the frying pan, letting them soak up the juices while we sauté for another couple of minutes.
  8. Serve by adding chopped chives on top.
