Mushroom & Farro Soup

How to make a Mushroom and Farro Soup.

Ingredients: Serves 4

  • 32 oz. Trader Joe’s Hearty Vegetable Broth
  • 18 oz. Trader Joe’s Traditional Marinara Sauce
  • 1 bag Trader Joe’s 10 Minute Farro
  • 1 bag Trader Joe’s Sliced Mushrooms (frozen)
  • grated parmesan cheese, optional


  1. Combine vegetable broth with marinara sauce in a large saucepan.
  2. Bring to a simmer.
  3. Pour in the farro, stir, cover and continue to simmer for 10 minutes.⁣
  4. ⁣Stir in the frozen mushrooms.
  5. Continue to simmer 3-4 minutes, uncovered, or until mushrooms are heated through.
  6. Simmer longer for more tender farro.
  7. Soup will thicken the longer it cooks.
  8. Season to taste with salt and pepper and serve topped with grated parmesan cheese.
