
How to make a Hake and Potato Stew.
Ingredients: Serves 4
- 1Kg hake, cut into thick slices
- 250ml Water
- 3 ripe tomatoes, peeled and chopped
- 2 potatoes, diced
- 1 onion, chopped
- 1 garlic clove, sliced
- 1 tablespoon sweet paprika
- Fresh parsley
- Extra Virgin Olive Oil
- Salt
Method:
- In a casserole pot add a generous splash of oil, the chopped onion and garlic and let it poach for about 10 minutes.
- Add the diced potatoes and stir until golden brown.
- Remove the pan from the heat and add the tablespoon of paprika.
- Add the peeled and chopped tomatoes along with the parsley and let it cook for 10 more minutes.
- After that time, pour the water and let it cook for 15 minutes with the lid on.
- Add the pieces of hake and let it cook for five minutes.
- Turn off the heat and let it rest another five minutes.
- Serve and enjoy!
