Dry Shrimp Broth

How to make a Dry Shrimp Broth.

Ingredients: Serves 4

  • 100 g of small dried and headless shrimp
  • 1 1/2 cups carrot, chopped into small cubes
  • 1 1/2 cups of potatoes, cut into small cubes
  • 3 tomatoes
  • 1 medium onion
  • A few sprigs of fresh epazote
  • 50 g of chipotle dried chilli
  • 1 cube of shrimp broth concentrate
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • Salt, to taste
  • 1 1/2 liters of water


  1. Place a pot on the stove, pour in the water and add the onion, garlic. potato, carrot, shrimp and let it boil for 30 minutes.
  2. Place a little water from the broth that we have in a blender, add the tomatoes, the chipotle chilli, a clove of garlic and blend.
  3. Add the liquefied mixture to the broth along with the cube of shrimp concentrate, the epazote and let it boil.
  4. Lower the flame and let it cook for 30 minutes.
  5. Serve and enjoy!
