Crispy Crumbled Potatoes

How to make Crispy Crumbled Potatoes.


  • 4 medium to large potatoes
  • Salt, to taste
  • 2 cups vegetable oil


  1. Place potatoes in a large pot and cover by one inch with cold water.
  2. Season liberally with salt and bring to a boil over high heat.
  3. Reduce to a simmer and cook until potatoes are fork-tender, for about 40 minutes.
  4. Drain and chill in refrigerator until cool.
  5. Once potato has fully chilled, heat oil in a heavy-bottomed frying pan to 350°F.
  6. Crumble and tear potatoes into chunks and place 1/3 of the chunks into the hot oil.
  7. Let cook until deep golden brown, turning potatoes over as needed.
  8. This should take between 8 to 10 minutes.
  9. Remove with a slotted spoon and let drain on paper towels, season immediately with salt.
  10. Repeat with remaining potatoes.
  11. Serve and enjoy!
