Creamy Tuscan Shrimp

How to make Creamy Tuscan Shrimp.

Ingredients: Serves 4

  • 1 lb large shrimp
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon paprika
  • 1-2 tablespoons oil
  • salt
  • pepper

For the Garlic Cream Sauce:

  • 1 tablespoon unsalted butter
  • 1 tablespoon minced garlic, (about 3-4 cloves)
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¾- 1 cup chicken broth
  • ¾- 1 cup heavy cream
  • ½ cup grated parmesan
  • ½ cup sun-dried tomatoes, roughly chopped
  • 4 cups fresh spinach
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • lemon wedges, for serving


  1. In a medium shallow bowl, whisk together Italian seasoning, garlic powder and paprika.
  2. Season shrimp with salt and black pepper.
  3. Next, season the shrimp with the spice mixture.
  4. In a large skillet or cast iron, heat 1-2 tablespoons of oil over medium-high heat.
  5. Add the shrimp and cook for about 2 minutes on each side.
  6. Transfer the shrimp to a plate.

For the Garlic Cream Sauce:

  1. Melt 1 tablespoon of butter in the same pan.
  2. Add garlic and Italian seasoning, sauté for about 30 seconds or until fragrant.
  3. Pour in the chicken broth and scrape any browned bits from the bottom or sides of the skillet.
  4. Add heavy cream and Parmesan cheese.
  5. Cook over medium heat for 4-6 minutes, stirring frequently until the sauce slightly thickens.
  6. Season with salt and pepper to taste.
  7. Stir in sun-dried tomatoes, spinach and simmer for about 2-3 minutes or until the spinach wilts.
  8. Return the cooked shrimp back to the skillet and let it heat for about 1-2 minutes, adjust seasonings to taste.
  9. If the sauce is too thick adjust with broth.
  10. Spoon sauce over the shrimp.
  11. Remove from the heat and serve with lemon wedges.
